Template licence

The short version: build as many sites as you like with a template, for yourself or for clients. Just don’t resell or share the template itself.

This licence covers the website template you bought from MapSignals ("the template"): its source code, design, copy and the images we made for it. With all-access, it covers every template you get the same way, including ones added later.

Each zip has the same text in its LICENSE.md file. See the templates.

  • Use the template to build websites and apps for yourself, your business or your clients, as many as you like.
  • Change, combine and extend it however you want.
  • Charge your clients for the work you do with it, and hand them the finished site, including its source code.
  • Keep using what you built for as long as you like, even if MapSignals stops selling the template.
  • Resell, give away, share or publish the template itself, changed or unchanged, as a template, theme, starter, UI kit or code bundle, whether for money or for free. This includes putting it in a public repository where others can copy it as a template.
  • Use the template to make a product that competes with it, such as a website builder or a marketplace of templates.
  • Claim you created the original template.
A finished website that uses the template is fine to publish and to keep in a public repository, as long as it is clearly your site or your client's site and not offered as a template for others to reuse.
The template depends on open-source packages (Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Base UI, Motion, Lucide and others) that keep their own licences, mostly MIT. Fonts loaded through next/font/google are under the SIL Open Font License. Nothing in this licence limits your rights under those licences.
If your payment for the template is refunded in full, reversed or charged back, this licence ends for that purchase: delete your copies and don't use the template in new projects. It doesn't end after a partial refund, or where the consumer law of the country you live in lets you keep using the template.
To the extent the law allows, the template is provided "as is": apart from what our refund policy says about a template that doesn't work, we give no warranty. MapSignals is not liable for any claim, damage or loss that comes from using it. Nothing in this licence limits your rights under the consumer law of the country you live in. You are responsible for the content you publish with it and for checking that your site meets the laws that apply to you, such as privacy and accessibility rules.

Buying a template is covered by our terms and refund policy.
